Product Description

The Gerber folding spade is one of the finest folding shovels available and the only one approved for use by NATO.

This tool is very light, strong and compact. Features a Powder Coated Boron Carbon Steel Blade with a serrated blade to assist in cutting vegetation. The shaft is annodized aluminium with a glass filled nylon handle.

It folds down to 9.5" and open is 23.5". Ideal for keeping in a pack, under the seat, in a boat or indeed anywhere space is limited and the need for excavation may occur.

Please note that the spade does not come with a carrying bag.

This spade is fantastic - but it hasn't got a serrated edge!

Yes correct, our apologies, the new models do not have the serrated blade as advertised here

Handy shovel, small so no excuse for not carrying one. Ok, it might not be up to digging another channel tunnel but it will help get sand mats or ladders in place.

I tie some string to the handle for the toilet roll (laugh if you like but trust me sand and toilet rolls are not a good combination).
